PROJECT (20%) FESTIVAL ON WHEELS

The Festival on Wheels Project is divided into 4 parts: (20%)

PART 1: 10 POINTS
PART 2: 3 POINTS
PART 3: 2 POINTS
PART 4: 5 POINTS

PART 1 (10 points): DEADLINE: DEC 12, MONDAY .

Instruction: Write about the contribution of the festival to the Turkish culture and society.
1. Find additional contributions (apart from the ones that I gave you) e.g. ecenomical
2.Paraphrase and summarize the articles to support your points
3. Exemplify ideas: Talk about the concepts of ?art?, ?artist? and depict a picture of Turkey (Türkiye?den spesifik örnekler vererek kendinizi destekleyin)

PART 2 (3 POINTS): Research DEC 15, THU / DEC 16, FRI

a. E-mail Kars, Malatya, Bursa and Kayseri municipalities
b. E-mail Ankara Cinema Association
c. Interview with cinema critics (the writers of the articles)
d. Contact with Atilla Dorsay
e. Interview your professors (the teachers in your faculty)
f. Review local newspapers and TVs in Kayseri, Malatya, Bursa and Kars
g. Contact with theatres and cinemas in those cities to know if there were any increase in the number of cinema/theatre audience after the festival

Note: You do not have do all the above mentioned research. Do at least 1 research. On the condition that you did 2 research, i will give you bonus.

When you e-mail people about the festival, print out your e-mail, so that you append it to your essay.

PART 3 (2 POINTS): DEADLINE: DEC 19, MONDAY
Instruction: Integrate your research into your essay

PART 4 (5 POINTS): DEADLINE DEC 19, MONDAY

Advertising Students: come up with ideas regarding an advertisement campaign for ?The Festival on Wheels?
PR Students: Think of ways to publisize the festival and come up with ideas to actively take part in it
Visual Communication & Design Students: Compose a poster for the festival
Cinema TV Students: Think about a follow up organisation regarding the festival
